CCTV clue after 2 men knocked unconscious and stamped on in 'terrifying' attack

CCTV footage has been released by police after two men were hospitalised following a "terrifying" assault.

Nottinghamshire Police were called to Arlington Way at its junction with Union Street in Retford at about 2am on August 9, after reports two 18-year-old men were knocked unconscious.

It is alleged the men were then "stamped on" and were taken to hospital for treatment.

As part of their investigations into the incident, police have released CCTV footage of three men they wish to speak to in connection with the incident.

Police Constable Carl Forman, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “This was a serious attack where two young men are believed to have been knocked unconscious by a group of three men before being stamped on.

“The two men were taken to hospital for treatment and are set to make a full recovery, however, this would have been a terrifying experience for them.

“We will not tolerate violence on our streets and we are committed to investigating any reports of assault that are made to us.

“If you recognise the men in this video, have any information about the incident or witnessed something suspicious on that evening, please contact Nottinghamshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 114 of August 9, 2020.”
