CCTV captured the moment a car ploughed into a garden wall

This is the shocking moment a car ploughed into a garden wall in Horwich.

The crash happened at the junction of Lever Park Avenue and Fearnhead Avenue at around 1pm on Thursday.

Homeowner Graham Barrett was watching TV in the living room when he heard an 'almighty thump' and saw bricks 'go up into the air'.

Graham, a retired builder, said: "I was just sat in my front room minding my own business when I heard an almighty thump.

"I looked out of my window, saw some bricks go up into the air and thought to myself: ‘oh ‘eck’.”

"It was just two young girls, they seemed fine. I think they were a bit shocked and one had a bloody nose."

Graham said the junction is an accident blackspot.
