CCTV appeal after spate of 'vehicle interferences' in early hours

Police have issued an appeal for CCTV footage after a spate of 'vehicle interferences' in an area of Bury.

Cars were targeted around the area of Hampson Mill Lane and Woburn Drive at around 4am on Wednesday (April 12). Officers investigating the incidents are now asking local residents to check their CCTV and doorbell cameras for evidence.

Neighbours have been urged to look for footage 'of anybody acting suspiciously in the area'. A post on the GMP Bury North Facebook page this morning said: "Bury's Neighbourhood Crime Team are investigation a spate of vehicle interference offences that occurred in the early hours of 12th April 2023.

"We are aware that vehicles have been targeted in the Hampson Mill Lane and Woburn Drive area of Bury at around 04:00 on the 12th April. We are asking residents to check their CCTV and ring doorbell activations for anybody acting suspiciously in the area.

"Any footage can be emailed directly to the NCT at Buryseriousacquisitivecrimeteam@gmp.police.uk or alternatively you can contact PC Hubbard on 0161 8568222."
