CCTV appeal after Nottingham shop smashed and money stolen

A group were reported to have forced their way into a shop in Nottingham city and taken money from the till and charity donation pot.

Nottinghamshire Police were called to the ATM shop in Alfreton Road after a shop window was broken and money stolen.

The incident happened at around 12.50am on Monday, January 17.

Officers investigating the break-in have now released CCTV images of men they want to speak to in connection with the incident.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the police.

PC Christopher Morgan, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: "The damage caused during this incident and the subsequent time and financial implications of this for the shopkeepers have had a huge impact.

"Businesses are at the heart of our communities so to have this happen to them is absolutely devastating.

"Officers are committed to their investigation and, as part of our enquiries, we are now appealing to the public for help in identifying the three men in the images.

"We believe people may recognise their clothing.

"We believe they may have important information which could significantly help our enquiries."

Anyone with information is asked to contact the police on 101, quoting incident 15 of January 17.
