CCTV appeal after man walks out of Co-op with £12k

Police have released CCTV stills of a man they wish to speak to after £12,000 was stolen during a burglary.

The money was stolen from the Co-op on Market Street in Hoylake on October 25 after a late night break-in.

Police have now released stills of a man they wish to speak in relation to the crime which happened between 10.10pm and 10.45pm.

The stills show a man dressed in dark clothing inside the shop. He was not wearing a face mask.

Detective Inspector Lynsay Armbruster said: “Business burglaries are not a victimless crime as they have a huge impact on the community in many ways.

"We are determined to find the offender so that other businesses are not targeted in future. If you were on Market Street around that time and noticed anything suspicious or saw someone running off then please let us know so we can bring the offender to justice.”
