Officers are appealing for help from the public after a man suffered facial injuries in an alleged assault outside a takeaway in Sunderland.
Northumbria Police received a report that a male had been assaulted outside the Golden Chef takeaway on Borough Road at around 6.30pm on October 6.
It was reported that a male approached the victim in the street and punched him, causing facial injuries.

Officers have since released a picture of a man they would like to identify who could have information that can assist the investigation.
A spokesperson for Northumbria Police said: "Officers investigating an assault in Sunderland city centre have released a picture of a man they would like to identify.
"Enquiries are ongoing into the circumstances surrounding the incident, and police have now identified a man who they would like to speak to.
"He was believed to be in the area at the time of the alleged offence and could have information that can assist our investigation.
"The man, or anyone who recognises him, is asked to contact police via the ‘Tell US Something’ page of our website or by calling 101 quoting crime number 110121Y/21.
"Alternatively, you can email 3019@northumbria.pnn.police.uk."
