An investigation has been launched after a robbery in Wallsend.
A woman was withdrawing money from the cash machine outside Barclays Bank on High Street West when a man snatched it from her and ran off.
Two men chased the suspect down and were able to retrieve the money, but the offender fled the scene.
Police are now making enquiries into the incident which happened at around 4.15pm on Sunday, May 5, and have now identified a man they would like to speak to.
A spokesperson for Northumbria Police said: "He was in the area at the time of the alleged theft and may be able to assist officers with the investigation.
"The man, or anyone who knows him, is asked to contact police on 101 quoting reference 747 05/04/19 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111."
