CCTV appeal after man 'kicks and stamps on car' outside Newcastle strip club

An investigation is under way after a car was damaged outside of a Newcastle city centre bar.

The incident happened over the August bank holiday weekend when, at 4.55am on Monday, August 26, outside of Blue Velvet on Dean Street.

It is believed that someone stamped on the bonnet of a car before kicking through the windscreen.

Officers have been carrying out enquires and have now released an image of a man they wish to speak to.

A spokesperson for Northumbria Police said: "He was in the area at the time and may be able to assist officers with their investigation.

"The man, or anyone who knows his identity, is asked to contact police on 101 quoting reference 108377B/19, email  8914@northumbria.pnn.police.uk  or report online at the Northumbria Police website.

"You can also contact independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
