Police were appealing for information after a man was allegedly racially abused just days before Christmas.
It is reported that the 28-year-old had been in Forum Way shopping centre, Cramlington, on December 16, 2022, when at around 7.30pm he was verbally abused by a member of the public.
The victim was left distressed by the incident and contacted Northumbria Police shortly after. An appeal was launched by police including a CCTV image of a man police want to speak to.
In March, the force confirmed that they had since identified the man.
