Police are searching for a man who indecently exposed himself to two young girls in Washington.
On Monday evening, officers received two similar reports relating to a man who had indecently exposed himself to young females.
Shortly after 4pm, it was reported that a man had approached a teenage girl in the Station Road area and exposed himself, before leaving the scene.
Then at 5.35pm a man exposed himself to a younger girl in Urban Gardens.
An investigation was launched and police are treating the incidents as linked. Officers have spoken with both victims and their families to offer support.
A spokesperson for Northumbria Police said: "Now, following a number of enquiries over the last few days, police have released an image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incidents.
"He was believed to have been in the area that the offences were committed and could have information that can assist officers.
"The man, or anyone who recognises him, is asked to contact 101 quoting reference 894 300919 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
"Alternatively, you can email the officer in charge at 3969@northumbria.pnn.police.uk."
