CCTV appeal after elderly lady robbed at cash machine

An elderly woman was robbed of £500 after she was shoved away from a cash machine.

The robbery happened outside Lloyds Bank on Cherryfield Drive, Kirkby around noon on Wednesday, April 27. An elderly lady using the cash point was pushed away from the machine by a man who went on to withdraw money from her account. He than fled the scene on foot.

Officers have now released an image of a man they believe may have information about the incident.

Detective Inspector Barbara Hebden said: “To steal from someone in this manner in broad daylight is utterly despicable and we are working to find the person responsible and put them before the courts.
