CCTV appeal after Co-op staff held at knifepoint during robbery

Police have released CCTV images after two masked men held Co-op staff at knifepoint during a robbery.

The pair burst into the store in Bury Road, in the Breightmet area of Bolton, and demanded staff members hand over cash from the till and cigarettes.

After being given what they asked for, the offenders then fled the scene on foot.

The terrifying incident happened at about 9.50pm on Saturday, December 21.

No one was injured, but police say the victims were left shaken.

Detectives investigating the robbery have now released CCTV images of two men they want to speak to as part of their enquiries.

One man can be seen wearing a white tracksuit top, black trousers and white trainers, while the other is wearing dark clothing and a black hat.
