CCTV appeal after 63-year-old man has arm broken in Hexham takeaway attack

A 63-year-old man suffered a broken arm after being attacked in a Northumberland takeaway.

The victim was in Amigos in Hexham in the early hours of the morning when he was approached by a man acting aggressively.

Police say the suspect proceeded to kick the man in the arm and he suffered a double break as a result of the incident, which occurred at around 1.30am on June 15.

Officers are now trying to find the man responsible and have released a CCTV image of someone they want to speak to.

A spokesperson for Northumbria Police said: "An investigation is ongoing into the incident, and officers have now identified a man they would like to speak to in connection with their enquiries.

"He is known to have been in the take away at the time of the incident and could have information that could help police.

"The man, or anyone who recognises him, is asked to contact 101 quoting reference 127 15/06/19 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
