CCTV appeal after £3,000 worth of iPads stolen during burglary on Gateshead High Street

An investigation is ongoing after iPads worth £3,000 were stolen in a Gateshead burglary.

The theft happened on the weekend of December 28 at a business on the High Street.

No one has yet been arrested but police have identified a person they need to speak to in connection with the burglary.

A spokesperson for Northumbria Police said: "Enquiries to identify and locate the person responsible are ongoing and nobody has been arrested at this stage.

"However, officers investigating the burglary have now released an image of a man they need to trace.

"He was in the area at the time and may be able to assist the police investigation.

"The man, or anyone who recognises him, is asked to call police on 101 quoting log 177 30/12/19.

"You can also email 2036@northumbria.pnn.police.uk or call independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
