CCG statement after reports of large queues at Forest Rec vaccine site

People in Nottinghamshire have been thanked for their patience while waiting to get their vaccinations.

It comes as Nottinghamshire Live received reports of long queues and waits of more than an hour at Forest Recreation Ground vaccination site.

Currently people aged 30 and over are eligible to book a jab appointment while anyone aged 40 or over and in any previous cohorts can turn up without a booking at various sites.

When asked about this, an NHS Nottingham and Nottinghamshire CCG spokesperson said: "It's great to see so many people getting the Covid-19 vaccine in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.

"The programme is now open to those aged 30 and over who can book online or by calling 119. Anybody over 40 or in previous cohorts can walk in for an appointment at a number of sites.

"Sometimes our sites do get busy but our incredible vaccination teams are doing all they can to vaccinate as many people as possible every day and we thank everybody for their patience if there is a little wait from time to time."
