The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) held the Class 12 chemistry examination on Tuesday. Students were happy that the exam was on expected lines and easy.
Madhusmita Bhrama, a Class 12 medical student, said, “The paper was okay and as expected. I had studied the previous- year question papers and sample papers which helped me a lot. Some students could have found the paper lengthy as some questions were time- consuming.”
Vinita Dogra, a Class 12 non-medical student, said, “The exam was more comfortable to attempt than that of physics. I can easily score more than 60 marks out of 70 as the paper was predictable. Most of the questions were repeated. However, not all questions were easy. I found the short answer questions tricky.”
Priyanka Varshan, a teacher at the Government Senior Secondary School, Sector 26, said, “The exam was easy in comparison to other subjects. The paper was based on the NCERT textbook. I think students can easily score well in the subject.”
There were no misprints in the paper, much to the relief of students.
There were four numerical-based questions in the exam. However, some students in certain centres complained that log tables were not provided to them until the end of the exam.
Ali Iqbal, a Class 12 non-medical student, said, “We were provided log tables at the end of the examination. I was not able to attempt calculation- based questions.”
