The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has extended the deadline for students to apply for scanned copies of evaluated Class 12 answer books by one day after technical issues were reported on its website.
According to a circular issued by the Board on Tuesday, the last date has now been extended from May 22 to May 23.
"It is hereby informed to all stakeholders that due to a technical problem encountered on the CBSE website for Post-Verification Facilities and to ensure sufficient time to the students, the last date for obtaining scanned copies of evaluated answer books has been extended," the circular said.
The Board advised students to make use of the extended deadline and complete the application process accordingly. It also clarified that all other terms and conditions remain unchanged.
The extension comes after several students complained about technical glitches on the CBSE post-verification portal. Many students took to social media to report issues related to login failures, payment problems and non-functional application links after the process began.
CBSE had originally opened the application window for obtaining scanned copies of evaluated Class 12 answer books from May 19 to May 22. The Board had earlier initiated the re-evaluation and verification process following concerns raised by some students and parents regarding the On-Screen Marking system.
Students who successfully apply for scanned copies of their answer sheets will be able to access them between May 26 and May 29.
The Board has also revised the fee structure this year. Students can now obtain scanned copies of answer books by paying Rs 100, significantly lower than the earlier fee of Rs 700.
Similarly, the fee for verification of answer sheets has been reduced from Rs 500 to Rs 100, while re-evaluation will cost Rs 25 per question.
