The head coach has changed, but the expectations never will at a place like Ohio State. And while most websites and publications believe that there almost has to be a step back in 2019, some are still bullish on the program. In fact, one writer who has historically had a hard time drinking the Ohio State Kool-Aid has picked the Buckeyes to make the College Football Playoff.
Barrett Sallee of CBS Sports along with other colleagues have made their 2019 picks for who will be in all the fun, and he’s got the Buckeyes there. Not next year, or the year after, but in this season of transition.
So, then what are his three others that make it to the promised land?
He has No. 1 seed Clemson facing No. 4 seed Georgia, and No. 2 seed Alabama matching up with No. 3 seed Ohio State. Your usual suspects really.

But don’t get too excited Buckeye fans, because he has Ohio State losing that first game to the Tide. Still, it’s a little respect for a team that most national experts believe will experience a little slide.
