CBS Sports will be televising the Norte Dame at Georgia game this season. Kickoff is set for 8:00 PM in Athens. The Bulldogs and Fighting Irish figure to be top ten teams for the huge September 21st game. CBS Tweeted the news today:
Georgia-Notre Dame is the best nonconference game the Dawgs have had in Athens in a long time. Stanford Stadium will be rocking. Tickets are already going for over $500 a pop. A 1980 National Championship Game rematch. This game has a little bit of everything.
Georgia will be extra motivated to demolish the Irish, who were the last team in for the 2019 CFB Playoff. Georgia players and fans felt like their team got snubbed. Soon, the Bulldogs will have their chance at revenge.
Notre Dame-Georgia is expected to be the first true test for both teams in 2019. Notre Dame opens against Louisville, who is coming off a rough season in the ACC. Next, the Irish have a short week off before they face New Mexico. Georgia faces Vanderbilt to start the season and will be heavily favored in that road match-up in Nashville. The Dawgs then return to Stanford Stadium to play Murray State and then Arkansas State.
