CBeebies 'Mr Tumble' trends on Twitter and people are scared to look

Opening Twitter can sometimes be more like opening a can of worms, especially as news sinks in that billionaire Tesla CEO Elon Musk is taking control of the platform in a $43million deal. Trending topics are the things being most discussed across the platform at a given time and for some reason, this morning an unusual addition appeared on the list among the other more expected trends.

Users were quick to speculate as to why the CBeebies entertainer's 'Mr Tumble' had suddenly appeared as a trending topic on the site. One said: "Mr. Tumble trending filled me with so much panic. But I clicked and I'm here to tell you that it's ok folks. He's ok." Another said: "Just saw that Mr Tumble is trending and all I can think of is how I’m haunted by the time an old work colleague told me that she’d had an erotic dream about him once & that he’d been a 'tender & sensual lover'".

Another said: "I saw that Mr. Tumble was trending and assumed that he'd purchased Twitter." While another didn't care what the reason was as long as it was nothing bad, saying: "I’ll never have a bad word said against Mr Tumble! 14 months ago I never heard of him, 14 months on his been the saviour many times of my son sitting in silence for minutes at a time watching his buffoonery at work and given me a moments peace."

Mr Tumble is a character on the BBC children's channel, CBeebies. Justin Fletcher MBE who plays the character is an actor, comedian and television presenter who speaks and performs in various roles. Generally it's slapstick comedy and he often works with children with special needs through his show Something Special. He's loved by children across the UK and by loved by Twitter today too, it seems.
