CBD products sold in Ireland recalled due to unsafe levels of THC

CBD products from 5 different brands sold in Ireland have been recalled due to unsafe levels of THC - the main psychoactive compound in cannabis.

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland has requested that all distributors withdraw the product from stores in Ireland.

Food businesses that have sold batches of the implicated CBD products will also display a point-of-sale notice in store and on websites if sold online, to inform consumers that the implicated batches of these CBD products are being recalled and the reason why.

The brands included in this announcement are The Herb Stone, Cannapol, The Healing Stone, Phyto+, and Cannabigold - which are all sold on the Irish market across health stores and some pharmacies.

The batches affected by this recall are as follows:

In a statement, the FSAI said; “The implicated batches of CBD food supplements contain unsafe levels of delta‐9‐tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) based on the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) acute reference dose.”

Consumers should not purchase or consume any of the implicated batches of the CBD food supplements listed in the table below.

If you have purchased a product from one of the implicated batches listed above, customers should return the product to the shop they bought it in for a refund.
