CB Chris Harris reportedly turned down offer from Raiders to sign with Chargers

Within minutes of each other, the Raiders agreed to terms with Eli Apple and the Chargers with Chris Harris Jr. Even though the buzz around suggested the Raiders were very interested in Harris, but according to Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News,  but the feeling was not at all mutual.

Harris switches AFC West rivals, but he goes from the Broncos to the Chargers. The 30-year-old cornerback spent has spent his entire 9-year career in Denver and likely built up quite the bitter hatred for the Raiders, so that makes sense. Most AFC West teams don’t care enough about the Chargers enough to really hate them.

The Raiders also reportedly went hard after Byron Jones who chose the Dolphins because they were offering more money upfront on their deal.

In the end, the Raiders went off the radar a bit because they had to get what they could get and that turned out to be Eli Apple.
