The Boston Celtics follow up their tilt with the Utah Jazz at TD Garden with a trip to Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse to play the Cleveland Cavaliers, hoping to build some momentum as the 2021 NBA trade deadline inches closer.
They will face a Cavs franchise that has struggled in recent games, and currently sits increasingly out of reach of even the recently-instituted play-in game range just a few games ahead of the Eastern Conference’s worst teams. And while it will be a game the Celtics ought to win easily even with starting point guard Kemba Walker resting on the second night of a back-to-back, Boston has a bad habit of playing down to its opponents.
That’s a dangerous game to play with this Cleveland team, even after its recent struggles.
