Cavs acquire Matthew Dellavedova, John Henson from Bucks

CLEVELAND _ The Cavaliers traded point guard George Hill and forward Sam Dekker to the Milwaukee Bucks in return for former Cavs point guard Matthew Dellavedova, John Henson and future protected first- and second-round picks, ESPN reported shortly before the Cavs tipped off against the Sacramento Kings Friday night.

A fan favorite during his first stint in Cleveland, Dellavedova left the team after the 2016 season in a sign-and-trade deal that netted the Australian a four-year, $38.5 million contract with the Bucks. The Cavs at the time did not want to match the deal.

Dellavedova averaged 6 points and 4.2 assists per game in a little over two seasons with the Bucks. His career averages are 5.8 points and 3.7 assists.

Henson began his NBA career as a power forward, but has played center the past five seasons. The 6-foot-11, 219-pound University of North Carolina product averaged 7.8 points and 5.4 rebounds in seven seasons with the Bucks.

Dekker, who played college basketball at Wisconsin and will be returning home, has spent approximately the last month rehabbing an injured ankle. He is averaging 5.3 points and three rebounds in his career.

Hill came to the Cavs in a trade with the Kings in February in a deal for Iman Shumpert. He was expected to bolster a roster then short at the point guard position, but struggled in the playoffs. During his stint with the Cavs, he averaged 9.9 points, 2.8 assists and 2.5 rebounds.
