Cavani and Tuanzebe start - Manchester United line up fans want to see vs Istanbul Basaksehir

Manchester United fans want to see six changes to the side for their Champions League match against Istanbul Basaksehir on Wednesday evening.

United can take a giant leap towards qualification for the last-16 of the tournament and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been urged to make several changes for the encounter.

The United manager is keen for his side to bounce back from the dire defeat against Arsenal at the weekend but knows he must strike the right balance ahead of a crucial trip to Everton on Saturday.

However, United fans are still keen to see wholesale changes for the trip to Turkey with MEN readers picking the side they want to see take on Basaksehir.

The first change comes in goal with supporters eager to see Dean Henderson handed his debut in the Champions League in place of David de Gea.

Supporters would also like to see one change in the back four with Axel Tuanzebe chosen as the ideal partner for club captain Harry Maguire in the heart of the defence. Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Luke Shaw are the preferred options at full-back.

There are also calls for an entirely new midfield for the match with Nemanja Matic, Juan Mata and Donny van de Beek the three most popular selections. Our graphic has Van de Beek in holding midfield and Matic further forward, which would obviously be the other way round in reality.

Anthony Martial is available for selection having missed the Arsenal defeat through suspension but fans would rather see summer signing Edinson Cavani handed his first start for the club instead. Mason Greenwood and Marcus Rashford complete the most popular XI as voted for by the fans.

United XI fans want to see vs Istanbul Basaksehir: Henderson; Wan-Bissaka, Tuanzebe, Maguire, Shaw; Matic, Van de Beek, Mata; Greenwood, Rashford, Cavani.
