Cavani and Pogba start - Manchester United predicted line up vs Wolves

Manchester United are set to make a host of changes for their Premier League clash against Wolves at Old Trafford on Tuesday night.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side took the lead against Leicester twice but were forced to share the points at the King Power Stadium following a late Axel Tuanzebe own-goal.

Liverpool's failure to beat West Brom at Anfield on Sunday means United can close the gap to just two points by defeating Wolves at home.

Solskjaer confirmed Victor Lindelof was substituted against the Foxes due to his chronic back injury meaning Eric Bailly is likely to start alongside Harry Maguire again.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka returned to United training on Monday but might not be risked meaning Tuanzebe could start at right-back in place of Lindelof. United youngster Ethan Laird trained with the first-team and could be named among the substitutes if Wan-Bissaka fails a fitness test.

Alex Telles could replace Luke Shaw at left-back given his recent injury record.

In midfield, expect Paul Pogba to come into the side alongside Nemanja Matic with Solskjaer likely to hand rests to Fred and Scott McTominay. Bruno Fernandes is undroppable meaning he will start despite his heavy workload during the festive period.

Marcus Rashford was in pain against Leicester after having his previously injured shoulder tugged by Harvey Barnes and might not be risked by Solskjaer ahead of a crucial run of fixtures.

Summer signing Donny van de Beek could replace the England international on the left with Mason Greenwood starting on the right in place of Daniel James who struggled against Leicester.

Solskjaer hinted that United will extend Edinson Cavani's contract following his impressive start to life in England and the Uruguayan could replace Anthony Martial in the starting XI after providing an assist for Fernandes against Brendan Rodgers' side.

Manchester United predicted XI vs Wolves: De Gea; Tuanzebe, Bailly, Maguire, Telles; Pogba, Matic; Van de Beek, Fernandes, Greenwood; Martial.
