Cavan boss Mickey Graham wants to play Dublin outside of Croke Park

Cavan boss Mickey Graham wants their All-Ireland semi-final against Dublin to be played outside of Croke Park.

After Graham led to his side to a momentous Ulster title win on Sunday, their first in 23 years, he argued that the lack of crowds as well as Dublin's comfort of regularly playing in HQ means it should be moved.

The six-in-a-row chasing Dubs play their home league games as well as most of their Championship games at Croke Park, with Graham pointing out that some of his players haven't played at the stadium before.

Graham said Cavan's lack of experience in the stadium already leaves the county at a disadvantage, before even factoring in the threat the All-Ireland champions boast.

"With the year that is in it, no crowds allowed in, is there a need to go to it, that's my point?" he told the Irish Independent.

"Would a nice neutral venue, somewhere different for a change, be any harm? For Dublin, that's like their own back garden, they are so used to playing there.

"A lot of our lads would never have been there before, it's a first time for them and it's a huge experience for them and it's definitely a disadvantage for us.

"I'm sure we would like to play it in a different venue. For us to go to Croke Park itself the task is going to be huge, so it would be nice but the powers that be will decide that."
