Cause of Strictly voting issue revealed but viewers still aren't happy

It caused something of a stir on Saturday night and the cause of Strictly Come Dancing's voting issue has now been revealed.

At the start of Sunday night's results show, which ended with Alex & Neil leaving the competition after an , host Claudia Winkleman said "Apologies if you experienced any problems voting online on Saturday night. There was a technical problem, but our independent verifier has confirmed that we have a fair and valid result."

Another accused show bosses of fixing things, posting "Seems that #Strictly have found a way to get public vote to match up with judges. Turn off voting for a while on Saturday night. Merry Fixmas everyone."

And hinting at the same, someone else commented "So the one week online voting “has a glitch” and the two most popular are suddenly in the bottom two."
