Geelong will welcome back two-time AFL premiership player Shannon Byrnes as a development coach.
Byrnes will join fellow Cats premiership players James Kelly and Harry Taylor in returning to Kardinia Park.
After he retired from playing in 2014, Byrnes became Melbourne's player development manager and has helped mould the team that broke their 57-year premiership drought.
"Shannon enjoyed an excellent playing career with the Cats and he has been at the forefront of player development at the Demons for the past seven years," Geelong football boss Simon Lloyd said.
"To be able to welcome Shannon back to the club is significant.
"Shannon brings expertise in the player development area, is a strong relationship builder and has a deep love of the club."
Byrnes, 37, played 108 games and kicked 100 goals for Geelong between 2004-12. He was a member of their 2007 and '09 premiership teams.
He then ended his career with two seasons at Melbourne, playing 23 games.
Kelly will be an assistant coach and Taylor will head Geelong's medical and conditioning department.
Fellow former Cat Matthew Egan is also returning to the club as head of player development, while Geelong have signed legendary Carlton and Adelaide goalsneak Eddie Betts as a development coach.
