Catherine Zeta-Jones gushes over rarely seen son and lookalike daughter in sweet snap

Catherine Zeta-Jones left fans stunned after she shared a sweet snap of her rarely seen son Dylan and her lookalike daughter Carys ahead of their return to school.

The actress, 50, gushed over her kids as Dylan, 20, and Carys, 17, geared up to head back to school after a summer spent with family.

Catherine - who shares her son and daughter with 75-year-old husband Michael Douglas - took to Instagram to share a rare snap of the pair.

Posting to her 3.5 million followers, The Mask Of Zorro star declared that summer is officially over in their family.

She penned: "Summer officially over in our family. Today both our young adults go back to studying."

She added: "In different, unprecedented ways. I love you both... And to all kids out there. Knowledge is the key to life. So battle through. This too shall pass."

Fans were stunned at the similarities between Catherine and her kids, as they rushed to the comments section to comment on the uncanny resemblance.

One fan penned: "Beautiful children - they look just like their mama. god bless!"

Another wrote: "Blessings to you and your family. Thank you for giving us a peek of your treasures~ your kids."

While a fourth agreed, writing: "Such a beautiful family."

The family recently returned from a dreamy getaway in Mallorca, Spain, last month.

As their kids head off back to school and university, Catherine and Michael will have their new puppy to keep them company.

And while Catherine and Michael are gearing up to celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary in November, Catherine admits that it will be a strictly socially-distanced affair as the pandemic rages on.

Speaking to People, she said: "We won't be doing any great big party. Not that I'm a big party fan anyway."

She added: "It would be nice to get all our friends together in one space, but we're not doing that until we're completely out of the woods.

"So I will raise my mask and let my husband passionately kiss me, then I will put it firmly back on."
