Catherine Tyldesley unveils son's revamped bedroom with mind-bending illusion wallpaper

Catherine Tyldesley has taken to social media to proudly unveil the finished project after completely revamping her son's bedroom.

The 37-year-old former Coronation Street actress - who is also known for competing on Strictly Come Dancing - was throughly pleased with the completed renovations.

Sharing several snaps with her 635,000 Instagram followers, Catherine was especially pleased with her son Alfie's new mind-bending wallpaper.

The five-year-old now gets to enjoy a dark blue room featuring wallpaper thst looks like wooden panelling.

The stunning setup also features lots of space-inspired images and a bedding set printed with an astronaut suit.

Alfie's room also features lots of white cupboards that contract the dark walls, as well as some space-themed fairy lights wrapped around his bed.

Alongside a host of pictures, Catherine also shared her praise for the companies she had used for the renovations.

"As you know we’ve been renovating our home," she wrote.

"We adore Alfie’s new wallpaper from @ilovewallpaper.co.uk. So reasonable and super easy to apply!

She added: "We love the panel effect - it’s something he’ll keep for a really long time as it’s so versatile! If I can do it- so can you!"

Catherine's latest collection of posts came shortly after the television star took to social media to reflect on how time flies since welcoming her son in 2015.

The actress' young son, who she shares with husband Tom Pitfield, is set to turn six in just under two months.

In a touching Instagram message, she wrote about the 'greatest gift of all'.

"HOW is my boy nearly 6?!?!" she penned.

"Looking through old pics and counting so many blessings. But Alfie ... the greatest gift of all. So proud to be your mummy, my little comedy genius."
