Catherine Tyldesley's wild journey as she's caught up in 'messy' hen party

Catherine Tyldesley had hopes of kicking back and relaxing on a train journey on Friday.

But her peace was shattered when the former Coronation Street star was joined by a raucous hen party.

The actress from Walkden found herself in the same carriage as a group of high-spirited hens with rude shot glasses telling stomach-churning stories about their past antics.

"When you had hopes of meditating on the train but there’s a hen party in your carriage," tweeted Cath with blushing emojis.

"Get stuck in," one follower told her.

"Not a bad shout," she replied.

"Go join them. They'd love it," said another follower.

Cath, 37, later updated to say: "Ooooof this is gonna get messy… p**** shot glasses are out and they’re already reminiscing of the last time they each soiled themselves."

And she added: "Defo scripting this- comedy gold!"

"What train you on sounds fun?" another fan asked her.

As the wild celebrations continued Cath took to Twitter again.

"I’m defo gonna end up using my first aid skills on this lot… bloody hell," she wrote worriedly.

"Am I getting old?? I bloody hate hen do’s. I was the first person to leave my own hen do!"

The former Strictly Come Dancing contestant finally updated to joke she was feeling compelled to join them after they started karaoke.

"Loud isn’t the word. But…Now they’re having train karaoke… that’s it… I’m going in!!!!" she wrote with dancing lady emojis.

Catherine left Corrie in 2018 after seven years of playing Eva.

The character moved to France to start a new life with her baby Susie following the tragic death of her ex Aidan Connor played by Shayne Ward.
