Catherine Tyldesley left Elaine Paige in tears with her singing on All Stars Musicals at Christmas.
The Coronation Street actress performed an emotional rendition of Memory from the musical Cats - a song famously performed by Elaine herself - and host John Barrowman noticed Elaine's reaction immediately.
Crossing straight over to Elaine, John said: "That was absolutely incredible, I have to get to something right away."
It was then that Elaine gave her verdict on Catherine's performance and she rubbed the tears away from her eyes as she tried to compose herself so she could start to speak and give her verdict.
She told Cath: "Oh I'm in tears. It was so beautiful, you've got the most beautiful beautiful voice.
"You made me so proud of you because that song really is not an easy song to sing because there's so many different elements to the song. You've got to make us feel - and look at me, I'm a mess."
She added: "You made me feel the loneliness and the isolation and the fragility of Grizabella. As an artist, I know the big note is coming and you went for it. It was a magnificent performance, I am so proud."
Cath was also moved by Elaine's comments, as she called the singer "one of her heroes".
She added: "Elaine is one of my heroes. She is the lady that helped me fall in love with musical theatre. It means the world and I really really wanted Elaine to be happy with it."
And fellow judge Samantha Barks also praised the performance.
She said: "Catherine, it was such a beautiful thing to witness. Not only the stunning performance but Elaine's reaction to it. Also, Elaine watching you and seeing how proud she was, I actually think that's the only review you need."
Fans took to social media to congratulate Cath on her performance.
"Wow singing a musical number live is tough, but singing @Elaine_Paige 's number in front of Elaine Paige is BRAVE BRAVE BRAVE, well done :) @Cath _Tyldesley #AllStarMusicals," one wrote.
Another added: "How fab was @Cath _Tyldesley singing Memory and in front of @ElainePaigeReal."
