Former Coronation Street Catherine Tyldesley enjoyed a laugh in the sunshine as she filmed new comedy Scarborough in Stockport.
The Underbank area of Stockport stood in for the Yorkshire seaside town for the new BBC comedy, penned by Benidorm writer Darren Litten.
The creator of the much-loved ITV series, which ended last year after 10 seasons, has joined the BBC for the new series which will also star Salford comic Jason Manford.
It sounds like Catherine, who played bubbly Eva Price in Corrie until last summer, is having a great time playing hairdresser Karen in the sitcom about residents in Scarborough.
She wrote on Instagram: "It’s only week 2... and I am so in love with this job.
"God I can’t wait for you guys to see it! You’ll howl with laughter and keep your heart full to the brim - it’s BRILLIANT."
Fans were confused when they saw the hair salon name on her post - Geraldine's of Scarborough.
"I can't believe it, you're in Scarborough and I'm in Manchester," said one follower.
"Is this a real shop?" asked another.
Cath, 35, played barmaid and machinist Eva for seven years until her character decided to depart the famous Corrie cobbles following the death of her late ex fiance Aidan Connor played by Shayne Ward.
Eva’s last scenes revolved around Aidan's inquest and conflict with his dad Johnny.
Cath switched from blonde to brunette after waving goodbye to Weatherfield and said she was looking forward to being less high maintenance after shedding Eva’s fake tan and nails.
“I love glam, but hopefully in a slightly classier way," she said previously.
The actress, from Walkden, previously told the M.E.N she hopes the door will remain open for her return to the soap at some point in the future.

She revealed last year that she had some top secret TV projects in the pipeline in 2019.
