Catherine Gordon missing: Armadale residents urged to check outbuildings as search goes on

Armadale residents are being urged to check gardens and outbuildings as the search for a missing woman, who hasn't been seen since Monday, goes on.

Police have issued a renewed appeal as they look to trace Catherine Gordon, who was last seen in the town at around 6am on Monday (24 February). The 64-year-old is said to be 5ft 4ins tall with short brown hair.

An earlier appeal outlined that she was last seen wearing a grey long-sleeved floral top with black trousers and grey trainers with a velcro fastening.

Officers in West Lothian have now issued a fresh appeal to trace her, adding that both they and Catherine's family are growing "increasingly concerned" by her absence.

They said: "We would like to thank the public for their assistance so far and would urge residents in the area of Armadale to check their gardens and outbuildings for information which might assist in tracing Catherine.

"If there are any sightings, or if you wish to pass information to police regarding Catherine's whereabouts, please contact 101 quoting incident number 2194 of 24 February 2020."
