Category 2 Hurricane Delta has strengthened further and life-threatening storm surge is expected to begin along portions of the northern Gulf Coast on Friday, the U.S. National Hurricane Center (NHC) said.
Delta is located about 400 miles (645 km) south of Cameron, Louisiana, packing a maximum sustained winds of 105 miles per hour(165 km/h).
