A large facility featuring Pokemon characters opened at the Nihonbashi Takashimaya department store in Chuo Ward, Tokyo, on Wednesday.
Pokemon Center TOKYO DX & Pokemon Cafe is the nation's 25th such Pokemon facility, and the largest, with an area of about 1,300 square meters, including the sales space and a cafe. It is located in the S.C. East Building of the department store.
The center hopes to attract many families and foreign tourists, an official said.
It is the first such Pokemon center to be set up with a cafe, for which reservations are required. The cafe serves a variety of dishes, including curry and pancakes in the shape of the Pokemon character Pikachu.
