Catalytic converters stolen in Logan Square

Police are warning residents about a series of catalytic converter thefts last month from vehicles in Logan Square on the Northwest Side.

In each case, someone cut the catalytic converter from a vehicle and fled with it, according to a community alert from Chicago police.

The thefts occurred:

  • About 7 a.m. April 20 in the 3500 block of West Medill Avenue;
  • Between 11:30 p.m. April 19 and 3:45 a.m. April 22 in the 3400 block of West Shakespeare Avenue; and
  • Between 9 p.m. April 19 and 7:15 a.m. April 20 in the 2400 block of North St. Louis Avenue.

No suspect description is available, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call detectives at 312-746-7394.
