Catalytic converters stolen from parked vehicles in Little Village

Police are warning Little Village residents about a string of catalytic converter thefts this month.

In each case, someone removed the converters from parked vehicles, Chicago police said in a community alert.

The thefts happened:

  • Between 11 p.m. Feb. 18 and 9 a.m. Feb. 19 in the 3200 block of South Avers Avenue;
  • About 5 a.m. Feb. 19 in the 2600 block of South Hamlin Avenue;
  • About 6 a.m. Feb. 19 in the 3000 block of South Harding Avenue; and
  • About 3 a.m. Feb. 20 in the 2200 block of South Hamlin Avenue.

No suspect description was available.
