Catalytic converter thefts reported in Bronzeville: police

Police are warning South Side residents of four catalytic converter thefts reported Saturday in Bronzeville.

In each case, someone removed the converters from parked vehicles, Chicago police said in a community alert.

All four thefts happened around 6:30 a.m. in the 4800 block of South Drexel Boulevard, police said.

The suspects are described as two men between 20 and 28 years old, standing 5-foot-8 to 6 feet tall and wearing masks over their mouths.
