
Police are warning residents on the South Side after a string of catalytic converter thefts were reported in July in Bridgeport.
In each case, someone removed the catalytic converters from parked vehicles, Chicago police said in a community alert.
The thefts happened:
- About 3:45 a.m. July 24 in the 2800 block of South Poplar Avenue
- Between 5 p.m. and 6 a.m. July 23 in the 2900 block of South Canal Avenue
- Between 9 p.m. July 23 and 3 a.m. July 24 in the 2600 block of South Emerald Avenue
- Between 11 p.m. July 22 and 7:45 a.m. July 24 in the 3000 block of South Quinn Avenue
- Between 6 pm. July 23 and 6 a.m. July 24 in the 2700 block of South Union Avenue
A description of any suspects was not immediately available.
