Catalytic converter thefts reported in Back of the Yards, Chinatown

Chicago police are warning residents of three catalytic converter thefts reported in July in Back of the Yards.

In each incident someone stole catalytic converters from parked vehicles, according to a community alert from Chicago police.

The thefts happened:

  • Between 2:30 p.m. July 14 and 3 p.m. July 15 in the 1800 block of West 48th Street;
  • Between 8 p.m. July 14 and 8 a.m. July 15 in the 4400 block of South Wood Street; and
  • Between midnight and 6:50 p.m. July 16 in the 300 block of West 23rd Street.
