Catalytic converter thefts reported in Arcadia Terrace neighborhood

Police are warning North Side residents of a string of catalytic converter thefts in the Arcadia Terrance neighborhood.

In a period of two days in August, at least five thefts were reported within several blocks of each other.

The thefts happened:

  • between 7:30 p.m. Aug. 9 and 10 a.m. Aug. 10 in the 5600 block of North Campbell Avenue;
  • about 8:30 a.m. Aug. 10 in the 5800 block of North Maplewood Avenue;
  • about 8 a.m. Aug. 10 in the 5900 block of North Artesian Avenue;
  • between 11 p.m. Aug. 9 and 2 a.m. Aug. 10 in the 5500 block of North Campbell Avenue; and
  • about 11 a.m. Aug. 10 in the 5800 block of North Campbell Avenue.

Anyone with information about the thefts is asked to call Area North detectives at 312-744-8263.
