Cat stuck on house roof for 12 hours rescued by firefighters

A cat called 'pickles' was rescued by fire crews this morning (June 22) after being stranded on the roof of his home since last night (June 21).

Emergency services from Winscombe were called to Observatory Field Road in Somerset at around 7 am after reports that pickles had been stuck outside for 12 hours.

A spokesperson from Avon Fire and Rescue Services said: "Crews from Winscombe were called at 07:21 this morning to reports of cat - Pickles - who had been stuck on the roof of his home on Observatory Field Road for over 12 hours."
