Cat or mouse? What you see first reveals your dominant trait

Recently, a YouTube channel called BrightSide shared a deceptive illustration: The narrator shows an image of a big blue face of a cat with two sets of eyes. However, the big blue cat also has a mouse inside it! But what if we told you that what you see first in this video tells if you are an optimist or a realist?

Yes, this video is a sort of personality test that estimates the core personality traits of a person. What makes this even more interesting is that everyone who views the image can have a different opinion and thus there is no one right answer to the following question:

Whose image did you see first in this picture? Was it a mouse or a cat?

If you noticed a cat, you are like most people- A realist- a person who knows what he wants in life and does not build castles in the air. You are great at making tough decisions because you are practical. Along with being practical, you’re also probably great at making decisions. You have a holistic view of the world, and you see things in their entirety rather than in parts. This perspective enables you to plan your future actions in totality.

On the other hand, if you spotted a mouse first, chances are that you are an optimist. This perception suggests that you do not look for the worst in a bad situation. Instead, you would prefer to look for the best in every situation. You sometimes might feel that you are not very practical and you have your head in the clouds. But that's far from the truth! You believe in concentrating on the bright sides of things and being positive about the future kicks out the misconception that you are just dreaming.

That being said, these personality tests can have varying levels of reliability. Some tests may be developed by qualified professionals, while others may be created for entertainment purposes only. It's important to remember that no test can fully capture the complexity of an individual's personality, so it's best not to rely entirely on the results.
