Cat 'killed with crossbow' in Bristol suburb

Police are appealing for information after a cat was fatally shot — reportedly with a crossbow.

An Avon and Somerset police spokesman said yesterday (May 4): "Last week we were contacted by a cat owner from Mangotsfield who said their pet had been injured.

"They reported that they believed it had been shot with a crossbow at some point between 12.30pm on Wednesday, April 28, and 6.15am the following morning.

"The cat was taken to a vets and sadly died."
