Cat Deeley’s Live TV Wardrobe Blunder Leaves This Morning Crew Scrambling

This Morning brought the sunshine vibes on Thursday with a special outdoor episode, complete with its very own ice cream van — but it wasn’t just the 99 Flakes getting attention.

Hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard fully embraced the summer heatwave, stepping out in breezy, sun-soaked style for what turned out to be the hottest day of the year so far. Cat, 48, looked effortlessly stunning in a red strappy mini dress, featuring an asymmetrical floral embellishment and delicate embroidery. She paired it with a set of gold strappy sandals that added just the right touch of glam, reported Wales Online.

But things didn’t quite go to plan behind the scenes. Just moments before going live, Cat had a bit of a wardrobe wobble — and it all played out in Ben’s Instagram story. The 50-year-old presenter gave fans a cheeky behind-the-scenes look at the This Morning set-up, proudly showing off the ice cream he’d nabbed early from the van.

“I’ve gone early with my ice cream!” Ben laughed before turning the camera on his co-host. That’s when Cat chimed in with her own playful confession: “My dress has gone early!” she joked, as a crew member was caught on camera urgently stitching up her outfit.

The quick-thinking team managed to get things sorted just in time, and Cat carried on as if nothing had happened — a total pro. Fans loved the glimpse behind the curtain and the easy chemistry between the presenters, with many taking to the comments praising Cat’s cool reaction and Ben’s light-hearted banter.

It’s not the first time a wardrobe issue has cropped up on live TV, but this one had a summery twist — a little sunshine, a scoop of vanilla, and a rogue hemline all rolled into one.

All in all, the show went off without a hitch, and viewers got a fun, unfiltered peek into what goes on just before the cameras start rolling. If anything, it added to the charm of the episode — sunshine, spontaneity, and a reminder that even the most glamorous moments come with their behind-the-scenes hiccups.
