Cat Deeley admits she feared 'no boobs and her nose' would ruin Hollywood dreams

With "no boobs and her nose", Cat Deeley never thought she would be a success in the US.

But the in-demand TV star went and did exactly that, making a success of living and working in Hollywood for 14 years.

Cat stood her ground and refused to have Hollywood plastic surgery after she was advised to have a nose job when she landed the host job on So You Think You Can Dance in 2006.

In a new interview, the host admitted she thought she wouldn't "crack" America because of her looks.

She told The Telegraph's Stella magazine : "I’ve still got no boobs and a nose that goes that way.

"My teeth have always been good – weak, but look good. When it comes to stuff like that, you’re asking the wrong woman."

She added: "I never thought I was going to “crack America”. Even in my wildest dreams. Once I’d got the [SYTYCD] job, I was worrying about getting my US driving licence and finding somewhere to live. Naïvety was really beneficial. I was concentrating on practicalities rather than thinking, “Oh my goodness, so and so is in the room.”"

Her Hollywood lifestyle was insane and she even lived down the road from Tom Cruise.

Supermodel Cindy Crawford and model Rosie Huntingdon-Whiteley were among her closest friends in LA.

Last year, Cat, her husband Patrick Kielty and their children relocated to London again at the start of the coronavirus pandemic.

Her two children Milo, now five, and James, three, have started approaching school age.

They have left their glamorous lives in Los Angeles behind.
