“Patrick went and tried the food and did all that, I never even saw the place where I got married before I got married, that's how uninvolved I was,” she told Closer.

“I'm quite lucky I get to dress up and have really special occasions all the time, so to me that wasn't the most exciting thing to happen.”

The glamorous pair married in 2012 and have two sons: Milo, six, and James, four.

Cat spoke to a US TV show shortly after they married.

The newly-wed said at the time: “It’s very cute right now.

“It’s a bit like, ‘You put the phone down first’, ‘No you put it down’.

She also revealed she makes up silly names for Patrick.

She said she nicknamed him “Stu” but Paddy thought the affectionate insult was a reference to his Irish roots .

“I kind of called him Stu and he was really excited about it,” Cat said.

“He thought it was like Irish stew... but actually it’s stupid. He’s stu.”

Patrick has been named as a contender for Ryan Tubridy’s Late Late spot and has the backing of Eurovision’s Linda Martin and RTE’s Stephen Byrne.
