One of the cats injured after being shot by an air rifle in Cabinteely underwent surgery yesterday.
Carlos was one of two cats shot in the area last week, and he suffered injuries to his chest.
He underwent surgery to remove it yesterday and is thankfully doing well.
Another cat was seriously injured in the heartless attack.
Both cats were taken to Ark Vet Care in Foxrock following the vicious assault, with pet owners in the area urged to keep their animals indoors for a while.
In an update , Ark shared details of Carlos' surgery and an image of the beautiful cat.

They said: "Carlos one of the two cats shot last week returned to Ark Vet Care today.
"He was shot through the chest last week in Cabinteely. Tom our vet surgically removed the air rifle pellet from his chest this morning under general anaesthetic.
"He is currently doing well.
"Gardaí are taking the issue very seriously and are continuing to investigate as to who may be responsible for for injuring these poor cats. They have taken the pellet as evidence.
"If anyone has any information we would ask you to please contact your local Garda station."
